History
Assist to Practice
is built on a solid foundation and backed by a network
of satisfied clients. Having developed from a practice
management consulting firm established in 1974,
Assist to Practice
was founded in 2002 to specialize
in meeting the growing appraisal needs of dental
professionals.

Our low appraisal fees begin, for small, single general dentistry
practices, at just $750, with discounted services from just
$500. Our consulting
services are available for hourly rates below $100 or for
"Flat-fee" rates for specific projects.

Because of our flat-rate per project fee schedule, we have eliminated the
inherent conflict of interest faced by some consultants who
might try to "stretch out" the project time in order
to bill more hours.

A native of the American West with marketing, management, and high-tech skills and experience, Todd Christensen has been the owner and senior appraiser for Assist to Practice since 2002. He brings a background well-suited to promoting and developing the interests of dental professionals in their
practice appraisal needs.
After receiving his Master’s degree from Brigham Young University and pursuing doctoral coursework at Pennsylvania State University, Todd worked as Canadian General Manager for a U.S.-based marketing and distribution corporation. He was instrumental in planning and setting up a division call center, directing nationwide marketing campaigns, and researching and developing market-specific products.
In following years, Todd returned to Idaho where he worked as a Consultant and Training Center Director for a Boise-based company that provided technology hardware and services to dental and medical professionals. Working directly with
general dentists on practical issues sparked a passion in him to provide these doctors with much needed, non-clinical services, allowing them to focus upon their patients and clinical production.
Since 2000, Todd has been directly involved in dental practice appraisals, practice transitions, and associate placements, combining innovative marketing with good, ol' fashioned customer service. Putting all of these experiences together, along with his business insight, highly-developed organizational skills, and understanding of the dental office and industry, Todd is well-suited to
assist general dentists to appraise the vitality and value of their practice, whether in preparation for the purchase or sale of their practice, the formation of a partnership, or just for an independent, third-party review of the practice in general.
Todd is also a Certified Personal Finance Counselor and a recognized expert in the field of personal and household money management education. In addition, he has taught university-level foreign language courses, speaks French and Spanish, and has lived in four different countries.
Todd is married with 4 children. His family as well as his passion for reading, history, cultures and travel keep his "free" time anything but empty.
